Mr Sotirios Foutsizoglou
Mr Sotirios Foutsizoglou is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon based in London, UK. He is on the GMC’s Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery with a licence to practise. He has held substantive Consultant posts in the NHS (i.e. St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London and Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guilford). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS), the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) and the Hellenic Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (HeSPRAS). He is also a Full Member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the International Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS), the World Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, the Hellenic Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM), the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS) among many others.
Education
He has graduated from Newcastle University Medical School and completed his Foundation Programme and Core Surgical Training in London and Kent before undertaking specialist training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Mr S. Foutsizoglou has undertaken numerous fellowships and clinical attachments in many parts of the world ranging from Head & Neck reconstruction, Facial Reanimation techniques for the paralysed face and Oculoplastics to Aesthetic Surgery including body contouring for men and women following massive weight loss. He is also one of the few surgeons who can perform deep plane facelifting techniques combined with a lip lift, eyelid surgery, eyebrow lift, neck rejuvenation, and facial contouring with fat grafting.
Furthermore, he has successfully completed a postgraduate Diploma in Breast Reconstructive Microsurgery at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in collaboration with the European School of Reconstructive Microsurgery. During his diploma he also had the opportunity to gain experience in supermicrosurgery and lymphatic surgery which was the field of his research project.

Mr Foutsizoglou believes in the holistic approach rather than treating the individual aesthetic concern. He has been trained in both Plastic Reconstructive Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery and is versed in and skilled at performing the whole range of aesthetic surgery and addressing aesthetic concerns at a multilayered level.
In addition to his medical studies, Mr Foutsizoglou graduated as valedictorian in Mathematics from the University of Athens. He also graduated top of his class for his Master’s degree in Biostatistics from the University of Athens in collaboration with Harvard School of Public Health before pursuing his studies further. He is also fluent in five foreign languages holding teaching licenses for two of them.
Mr Foutsizoglou has been involved in teaching medical and pharmacology students at City St George’s, University of London (formerly known as St George’s University of London) as well as in clinical governance such as audits, research and continued professional development. He has been published extensively and has presented at most major national and international plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine conferences, meetings and symposia sharing his experience and innovative techniques with peers and colleagues. Moreover, in his role as the lead trainer of KT Medical Aesthetics Group, he has been training medical practitioners in facial anatomy and aesthetic procedures such as structural fat grafting using stem cell technology, thread lifting techniques, and restoration of age-related volume loss.
Award winner
Mr Sotirios Foutsizoglou is the 2023 Aesthetics Awards winner for Best Surgical Result and has been nominated in the “Best Consultant Surgeon of the Year” category for three consecutive years (i.e. 2021- 2023). Moreover, he is also a 2025 Finalist for “Best Surgical Result” and “Medical Aesthetic Practitioner of the Year”. He has also featured on various Cosmetic Surgery related programmes on UK National TV such as “Embarrassing Bodies” and “BodyShockers”.
Finally, Mr Foutsizoglou is up to date with his annual appraisals and Revalidation.
