
Clinical Governance
Mr Sotirios Foutsizoglou fully abides by the principles, values, and standards of care and professional behaviour expected of all medical professionals registered with the GMC as set out in the four domains of Good Medical Practice.
Mr S. Foutsizoglou takes every opportunity to get involved in continuing medical education and professional development. He regularly takes part in quality improvement activities such as publications, teaching, clinical governance, and participation in training and educational events with the aim of being au courant with new developments in his practice area as well as enhancing his knowledge and surgical skills.
Mr Sotirios Foutsizoglou has been involved in research projects (e.g., Fibrillar Collagen Scaffolds for the Treatment of Chronic Lymphoedema) and clinical trials such as “MelMarT-II Trial” regarding appropriate margins of excision of primary invasive cutaneous melanoma. In addition, he has organised and carried out reviews of clinical performance and regularly participates in clinical audits and surveys with a view to protecting, promoting and maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of the public.
Mr S. Foutsizoglou is up to date with his annual appraisals. Furthermore, as part of his revalidation, he regularly participates in independently organised multi‐source colleague and patient feedback surveys which provide valuable insight into how he is perceived as a professional and how well he fulfils his role in the doctor-patient partnership. All his 360-degree feedback surveys have been consistently high putting him in the upper quartile in all areas assessed. In the most recent independent feedback survey, his patients gave him 5/5 in key professional areas such as “honesty and trustworthiness”, “being polite” and “keep information about me confidential”. Finally, he has been praised by his patients and colleagues for his communication skills, keeping pace with new technology and developments in his field, professional honesty, and personal integrity.

Publications
Teaching
Since September 2023, Mr Sotirios Foutsizoglou has been involved with teaching Clinical Pharmacology and MBBS students at St George’s School of Health and Medical Sciences of City St George’s, University of London.
Furthermore, he has organised and delivered several well attended webinars and hybrid workshops on "anatomy of the ageing face'" and "serious complications associated with permanent and non-permanent dermal fillers and how to manage them" which have received great comments and very encouraging feedback.
Mr Sotirios Foutsizoglou is passionate about sharing information and experience with other medical professionals, trainees, and medical students. His teaching experience ranges from lecturing Applied Maths and Biostatistics at University, supervising junior doctors in the NHS, and organising plastic surgery courses to being an anatomy demonstrator for surgical trainees and medical students as well as an internal examiner for the Phase III Incremental Clinical Examinations.

Prizes
Dr Sotirios Foutsizoglou has been dubbed the “King of Botox” having treated more than twenty thousand patients with BTX-A for both functional and aesthetic concerns.
Mr Sotirios Foutsizoglou was the 2023 Aesthetics Awards Winner for the Best Surgical Result.
Mr S. Foutsizoglou has been a Finalist for Consultant Surgeon of the Year for three consecutive years. This award recognises the surgeon who is deemed to have contributed most to the profession and has provided the most outstanding care and treatment to their patients in the last 12 months. The winner is judged on their clinical expertise, continuous professional development, commitment to patient safety and the difference they make to their patients, clinic and the profession as a whole.
Mr Sotirios Foutsizoglou is also an Aesthetics Awards Finalist in the "Best Surgical Result" and “Aesthetic Medical Practitioner of the Year” categories for 2025.
Finally, he has been on various Cosmetic Surgery related TV shows such as “Embarrassing Bodies” and “BodyShockers”.
